The proposed Briskalagh Renewable Energy Development comprises potential for up to 7 no. wind turbines and in an area located approximately 3.5km to the south of Tullaroan. The purpose of this website is to inform the local community about this proposal. This potential development would provide a significant contribution to achieving the country’s renewable energy targets and assist in reducing Ireland’s dependency on fossil fuels. It would also generate direct and indirect local jobs and provide investment in the area through local authority rates / contributions and a community benefit fund which would be made available to fund local initiatives as decided by the local community.
This proposal is being explored by Enerco Energy Ltd. which is Irish-owned and based in Cork, with extensive experience in the design, construction and operation of wind farms throughout Ireland. For more information on Enerco Energy, click here.
